Dear Birthparents:

Our names are Justin and Amanda and we greatly admire that you are considering an adoption plan for your child. We feel honored to be considered by you to be potential adoptive parents for your child.

We live in North Richland Hills with our two dogs Riki and Roxi.  We originally met on a blind date in 2002. We became friends but did not start “officially” dating until 2004, even though Amanda went home that night and told her sister she had just met the man she was going to marry. On November 12th, 2004 we became engaged. We were married on June 4, 2005 in Westbrook, Texas in a small church in front of our closest friends and family. We tried to have children and struggled with infertility. We feel like God is leading us to grow our family through adoption.

Justin is 36 years old. He attended Texas Tech and graduated cum laude in 1999 with a degree in Kinesiology. In 2010 he completed his M.Ed. in Science Education from the University of Texas at Arlington. He currently teaches 7th grade science. He grew up in a small town in the Texas Panhandle. In school he was active in 4-H, band, and played football and golf.  He is the oldest of three children. His brother Kevin and wife Kari and sister Ashley all live in the Dallas-Ft. Worth metroplex. Kevin and Kari have two boys, Kaden and Kameron. Justin’s hobbies are golf, Crossfit, watching movies, playing with the dogs and spending time with Amanda. Justin can be described as hard working, intelligent and fun loving. Amanda would describe his best character trait as his ability to think things through and to be practical about tough decisions.

Amanda is 34 years old and grew up in a small town in West Texas. Amanda participated in basketball, softball, One Act play and UIL contests in high school. There were 12 people in her graduating class. She graduated from Angelo State University in 2000 with a degree in education. Amanda is in her eighth year of teaching - six years at the junior high level and two years of elementary reading. Amanda plans on continuing to work after maternity leave, but our teaching jobs allow us with extended time off, so we feel blessed in this regard. Amanda is the oldest of four children. She has two brothers, Thadd and Colton and a sister Brynn.  Brynn and her husband Chase have Paige, our first niece.  Amanda’s hobbies include sports, reading, Crossfit, photography and spending time with her friends and Justin. She is a big fan of the Dallas Cowboys – she once almost met Troy Aikman and still talks about it. She loves to find new adventures – for example last year Amanda and her friends were extras in the TV show Friday Night Lights. Amanda also talked Justin into joining Crossfit with her this year.  Her personality can be described as quiet, funny, spontaneous and willing to help others. Justin would say that her natural compassion is her biggest strength.

We enjoy spending time with each other, being Aunt Duh and Uncle Justin, playing with our puppies, going to sporting events, college football, playing at Dave and Busters, water parks and hanging out with our friends and families. We enjoy exploring and love to try new things. We attend Northwood Church in Keller, Texas and are excited to be a part of their community.

We are hoping that we are lucky enough to be part of an open adoption plan. We feel that open adoption can be a huge blessing for everyone involved. We look forward for the opportunity to meet with you. Thank you for looking at our profile.

Thank you,
Justin and Amanda
